Our School Partners
Riverside Elementary is a Pre-K through 5th grade school located in South Newland, NC. Around 110 students attend, 69% of which were on free or reduced lunch programs prior to Hurricane Helene. Over 15 families enrolled at Riverside experienced significant loss to their homes and vehicles, and many more experienced significant road, bridge, and property damage. Students were unable to return to school for over a month, and the school gym served as a donation distribution center.
