Operation White-Tail

On September 28th, 2024, Hurricane Helene brought devastation to families and communities across Western North Carolina less than three months before the holiday season. Operation White-Tail was founded with a mission: to bring joy to students in High Country Schools by fulfilling their Christmas wish-lists through donations.

While we may not have reindeer in Western NC to help Santa deliver gifts, the local White-Tailed deer have risen to the occasion.

Mission

Operation White-Tail's mission is to fulfill the Christmas wish lists of as many students in the High Country as possible by partnering directly with impacted public schools.

Approach

Students provide their wish-lists for Santa to administrators, and Operation White-Tail summons our elves! Through Amazon Wish-Lists, generous elves can browse requested toys from different grade levels, and donate joy! All donated gifts will be shipped directly to each school by Amazon.

Vision

We aim to bring peace and joy to families most affected by Hurricane Helene.This organization is inspired by and dedicated to those who call Western NC home: the wonderful people who have demonstrated immense generosity and resilience.
